"Tonight is the last night": Elton John bids farewell to more than 50 years of touring at finale of Farewell Tour
The award-winning legendary musician reportedly took the stage for the last time as a touring artist in Stockholm, Sweden.
In the caption of the video posted on his official Instagram account on Saturday, the British music legend said, "What a journey this tour has been and now we are nearing its end. This is my last night," he wrote.
The five-time Grammy Award winner's Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour began in 2018 and was originally scheduled to end in 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This tour is considered to be his last after more than 50 years of touring.
According to John's Instagram video, the tour included more than 300 shows and was attended by more than 6 million fans worldwide. The 76-year-old musician headlined Glastonbury Festival, the final destination of his UK farewell tour.
